Production

Bridgestone Arena serves as a tribute to Nashville’s musical heritage. The entrance to the Arena is positioned on the corner of Broadway and Fifth Avenue facing the Ryman Auditorium, the original home of the Grand Ole Opry.

The Arena, an exciting and modern entertainment facility, has the flexibility to host national touring events and major professional sports franchises, as well as hometown entertainment.

Seating Capacity

18,000 In the Round, 13,000 Proscenium Stage, 5,000 Theater Curtain System: The 300 Level seating can be covered by our curtaining system to create a more intimate atmosphere. We also have drape for our Proscenium and Theater truss to mask the any dead sections.

Rigging

Tubes and “H” beams are located 90’6" – 111’ from floor in a square grid pattern, approx. 10’ – 12’ between beams with a total end stage live load capacity of 120,000 lbs. and a total Arena stage capacity of 80,000 lbs. Maximum pick point capacity ranges from 4,000 lbs. to 8,000 lbs. per tube or beam. All rigging plans, including desired hanging points, must be submitted to Bridgestone Arena’s Event Services department prior to tickets going on sale. Electrical

Four thousand (4,000) amps power located in two backstage areas. Designated Crew electricians will make all connections.

Lighting

Arena seating bowl lighting consists of metal halide floodlights with 3400k lamp color temperature and 65 minimum color rendering index to provide light levels ranging from 30 foot candles in the horizontal plane for conventions, tradeshows, etc. and a minimum of 200 foot candles in the vertical plane for televised events.

Sound

Six (6) public address sound clusters located in the high steel supported with nine (9) sound delay speakers at the south end.

Loading Dock: Located at 7th Avenue and Korean Veterans Boulevard, the 30,000-sq.ft. loading dock can accommodate up to 12 buses and trailers. Dock entrance 20' x 16'7" with direct floor access through 22' x 15' door. Overhead door and closed circuit cameras ensure security.

Freight Elevator

One (1) Class C1 10,000-lb.-capacity traction elevator equipped with 8' x 8' bi-parting doors accessible to high steel (125 feet). A second similar sized freight elevator with access to each level is dedicated to food service operations.
Spotlights: Twelve (12) spotlight platforms equipped with four (4) Super Trooper II’s and eight (8) Strong Gladiator III’s.

Staging

One 40' x 60' stage with 12' x 24' sound wings featuring bridging or floating deck design, complete barricade system and ADA compliant ramp.

Backstage and Front of House

Dressing Rooms

Five star dressing rooms located directly backstage are each equipped with makeup mirrors and show facilities.

Locker Rooms

Three locker rooms located directly backstage are equipped with show facilities.

Backstage Dining

1,500 sq.ft. equipped with catering pantry and two (2) separate bath and shower facilities.

Promoter Office

One office located backstage equipped with desks, telephones, and a television.

Production Offices

Three offices located in immediate backstage. Telephones, televisions, tables, chairs, or furniture can fill the rooms upon request.

Green Room

1,800 sq.ft. of space typically used as a green room, meet and greet space, or production office.

Meeting Rooms

The arena has two 3,000 sq. ft. meeting rooms with catering, security, A/V, parking and telecommunication capabilities. Our meeting rooms are reserved separately from our backstage spaces. For more information please visit the meeting room page.

Box Office

Full-service ticket office providing computerized ticketing, remote outlets and telephone order service for all events. Daily ticket office with twenty four (24) windows located at main entrance and event ticket office with (5) windows located at south entrance. Security

Private uniformed security guard service, local off-duty police officers and peer group security are available. Our private security handles bag checks as well as controls traffic flow to our loading dock. Off-duty police officers handle artist escorts and any patron issues escalated beyond our in house security’s legal capabilities. Contemporary Services Corporation employs our ushers, ticket takers, barricade, and backstage security.

Medical

Medical personnel and equipment including medics, EMTs, General Practitioners, Chiropractors, Oxygen Tanks, and ambulances are available through Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
