“It’s been a great first-half of the year for us here at Bridgestone Arena as we hosted countless big names and set the Arena’s concert attendance record with 18,411 fans at Eric Church’s show on Jan. 10,” Bridgestone Arena Senior Vice President of Booking David Kells said. “We would not be able to do what we do without the incredible fans that fill our building night after night and the support from the city of Nashville, the building staff, great performers, promoters and the entire music community. We’re looking forward to a second-half that is set to be just as big. Bridgestone Arena will continue to be a go-to destination for high-quality entertainment and top shows.”

In the midst of Bridgestone Arena’s busy summer schedule, the Arena is undergoing renovations that, when completed by the start of the 2015-16 Nashville Predators season, will see all the seating in the Lower Bowl replaced. Lower Bowl renovations also include sanding and repainting of concrete flooring, stairs and handrails and the installation of non-slip and glow-in-the-dark staircase strips, new aisle and seat markers and more. Additional upgrades are being made this summer on Arena restrooms, concession stands and security measures.

Serving as the home for numerous national and international events, Bridgestone Arena has the distinction of being one of the busiest venues in the United States over the past decade and a half. In addition to being named Pollstar’s 2014 Arena of the Year, Bridgestone Arena was named the Academy of Country Music’s Large Capacity Venue of the Year in March of 2014. Kells has also recently received recognition; he received his third consecutive Pollstar Facility Executive of the Year nomination in November 2014, weeks after being named IEBA’s Venue Executive of the Year.
