Twenty years after its inception, Bridgestone Arena has helped stimulate growth more than those who developed the arena could have ever imagined. Not only is Bridgestone Arena one of the top-five venues in the nation for entertainment and home to one of the NHL's top Stanley Cup contenders, the Nashville Predators. Bridgestone Arena celebrated its 20th Anniversary Saturday, December 17 2016, taking place two decades after its opening event, Amy Grant's memorable concerts on December 16 and 17, 1996. Since that first iconic concert run all the way through today, more than 20 million fans have visited Bridgestone Arena to watch history unfold and to create lasting memories.

In 2016, the Nashville Predators hosted one of the most successful NHL® All-Star Weekends in League history, pulling in close to $20 million in revenue for downtown Nashville.

Later that season, the team saw their most successful Stanley Cup Playoff run in franchise history. On April 27, 2016, the Preds triumphed in an emotional victory over the Ducks in Round One, following the first Game Seven in the team's 19-year history.

Bridgestone Arena also hosted its 10th CMA Awards Show in 2016, which happened to fall on the CMA's 50th Anniversary Awards show and celebration.
